Qualifications:

Role overview:
As a member of the IT department of Piraeus Container Terminal SA (PCT SA), the candidate will be responsible for daily operational support and administration of Windows and Linux physical and virtual environments and their lifecycle management, by performing relevant installations, patches and upgrades.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance of IT systems by implementing the appropriate security policies.
- Monitor and maintain IT systems performance.
- Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration management.
- Install, configure and operate: physical servers (blade and rack-mount models (VMware ESXi or other similar virtualization solutions, Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems on physical and virtual servers and Microsoft Active Directory Services.
- Maintain Exchange and SQL servers
- Analyze, report and solve complex problems.
- Use corporate tools and applications to record and report incidents, changes and other IT activities.
- Participate in IT projects by analyzing, proposing and implementing solutions aimed at the high and seamless availability of the services offered.
- Communicate with other organizational units and managing the requirements of business needs.

Qualifications:
- At least level 5 degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Five or more years of experience in infrastructure, support and technical delivery area.
- Work experience in Infrastructure Automation Tools and scripting languages.
- Public cloud experience such as Azure, M365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of the following technologies: Active Directory, Group policies, DNS, DHCP, PowerShell scripting, Network, SAN, Storage, DR, Backup/Restore procedures, VMware vShpere.
- Excellent knowledge of the English language
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with technical audience.
- Analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, with high-levels of creativity.
- Ability to work independently and part of a team.
Certifications:
- Current Microsoft Certifications on Active Directory and Windows Server management
