As a member of the IT department of Piraeus Container Terminal (PCT), the candidate will be responsible for daily operational support and administration of Hypervisor platforms, Windows and Linux physical and virtual environments and their lifecycle management, by performing relevant installations, patches and upgrades.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance of IT systems by implementing the appropriate security policies
• Monitor and maintain IT systems performance
• Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration management
• Install, configure and operate: physical servers (blade and rack-mount models (VMware ESXi or other similar virtualization solutions, Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems on physical and virtual servers and Microsoft Active Directory Services
• Analyze, report and solve complex problems
• Use corporate tools and applications to record and report incidents, changes and other IT activities
• Participate in IT projects by analyzing, proposing and implementing solutions aimed at the high and seamless availability of the services offered
• Communicate with other organizational units and managing the requirements of business needs
• Adapt to urgent time schedules
• Coordinate and monitor troubleshooting, testing, upgrades, and configuration of Windows and Hypervisors systems and services

Qualifications:

• At least level 5 degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Five or more years of experience in infrastructure, support and technical delivery area
• Work experience in Infrastructure Automation Tools and scripting languages
• Public cloud experience such as Azure, M365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of the following technologies: Active Directory, Group policies, DNS, DHCP, PowerShell scripting, Network, SAN, Storage, DR, Backup/Restore procedures, VMware vShpere
• Excellent knowledge of the English language
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with technical audience
• Analytical, technical, and problem solving skills, with high-levels of creativity

Job Summary

The candidate with the role of “Information Technology Engineer” (IT Engineer) will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware/software, monitoring and maintaining critical infrastructure, servers, and network operations to ensure business continuity.

Duties – Responsibilities

1. Provide prompt on-site and remote technical support to local and remote users via ticketing system, phone, and VPN
2. Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot end-user hardware, peripherals, and software applications
3. Provide end-to-end support for workstation, printing and peripheral devices
4. Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server environments and basic server clusters
5. Manage Active Directory tasks, such as user provisioning, access permissions, password policies, and Group Policies
6. Monitor virtualized infrastructure
7. Maintain and monitor file servers, access rights, and storage quotas
8. Execute and monitor routine system backup and disaster recovery restore procedures
9. Monitor and troubleshoot enterprise data and voice (VoIP) network infrastructure
10. Continuously monitor overall system and network performance, performing basic tuning and health checks
11. Oversee endpoint security solutions such as Antivirus/EDR, Anti-Spam, and web content filtering

Skills Required:

• Minimum Level 5 diploma / Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience in an IT Helpdesk, Technical Support, or Systems Administration role within a corporate environment
• Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal)
• Vendor or vendor-neutral certifications (i.e. CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Security+, Microsoft Certified, Cisco CCNA) are required
• Availability to work on a rotating shift schedule (including nights, weekends, and holidays)

Technical Competencies
